Guests had to be evacuated from an Eastbourne hotel after a blaze in a bathroom.
Firefighters were called out early today to tackle the fire on the third floor of the Wish Tower Hotel in King Edward Parade.
Crews were alerted at 6.30am after the blaze triggered fire alarms.
When they arrived at the scene about 100 guests were being evacuated from the building.
Firefighters used breathing gear to get through smoke-logged corridors to the fire, thought to have been sparked by a faulty extractor fan.
It took more than an hour to bring the blaze under control, but no one at the hotel was injured.
The bathroom was destroyed in the fire and the bedroom and a neighbouring room were badly damaged by smoke.
