Falmer is a highly unsuitable location for the proposed football stadium. It was bad enough when the village was divided by the A27, but must it now be totally ruined by the introduction of a stadium? The increase in cars, rubbish and people would prove devastating to the village.
Even when I was being brought up in Moulsecoomb, Falmer seemed as if it was in a time warp. It was a lovely place to visit for its peaceful surroundings. I imagine once the stadium is built there this will no longer be the case.
There will be noise, football hooligans and trash everywhere. What a horrible way for a peaceful village to end up. There must be a site somewhere else? London Road, leading into Brighton? Up by the racecourse, possibly?
