Sammy Donnelly has been assured his playing budget will not be cut as he plots a Worthing promotion bid.
The Rebels boss had considered quitting after claiming he was docked pay to offset the cost of rewarding players.
He held 90 minutes of clear-the-air talks with his Board on Tuesday, then said: "A few home truths were spoken.
"I'm grateful to the directors that this has been sorted out. There was a bit of give and take on both sides.
"We cannot afford a 20-man squad, I realise that. But, if we are in contention in March or April, maybe they will back me as they did by signing David Cameron last season."
Angry Worthing supporters urged directors to act after reading in Monday's Argus that Donnelly was "livid" with financial arrangements at Woodside Road.
Donnelly added: "The supporters are the reason why I am looking to build up this club. I could not walk away."
Richard Waters is expected to return for tomorrow's division one trip to Yeading after overcoming a back injury.
Spencer Mintram should also return but striker Ben Carrington (hamstring) is more doubtful.
Neil Scammell is in line for a recall at high-flying Ford as Bognor bid to regain their goal touch.
Rocks have hit the target just once in three games.
Assistant boss Neil Hider admitted: "Maybe we were complacent thinking we had solved that problem."
