A traffic warden was injured by a car after a row over a parking ticket.
Police said the warden's legs were "bumped" by a car as it drove away from Albert Road, close to Bognor seafront, just before 11am yesterday.
Police have not named the warden but a spokesman said he suffered minor bruising.
His cap, which fell into the road, was flattened as the car left the scene.
A spokesman said: "The car involved has been traced and we are appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident to come forward."
