Southwick Football Club has stepped in to save a firework display.
The club has let the Brighton Lions stage a fund-raising display at its ground on Saturday, November 4.
The event was originally to be held at the Sussex County Cricket Club ground in Hove but the booking was cancelled because the groundsman said it would damage the pitch.
The Lions hope the display will draw a capacity crowd of about 2,500, raising thousands for their Leo House Appeal to build a children's hospice.
The gates will open at 6pm, with the first fireworks being let off at 7.30pm.
Tickets, priced £5 for adults and £2 for children, will be sold on the night.
