Horsham held on to second place in the British League premier division table at Broadbridge Heath with a 10-4 victory over the powerful south London club, Dulwich.
After five games Horsham began to falter with a slender 3-2 lead.
Ritchie Venner, 35, the Horsham captain came to the rescue with a storming win 21-18, 21-19 over the Dulwich star player, Neil Charles.
The London top spinner came from behind in the final nail-biting minute but Venner scored a glorious edge ball right on the corner of the table to win the final point and keep Horsham on the road to victory.
Adrian Moore was far from his best, nearly losing all three, while Laurence Trumpauskas has his triple stopped 23-21, 24-22 by Charles.
Nigel Eckersley, 47, had two remarkable successes before just losing 21-17 in the third game to Charles.
Venner has been unable to practice since the floods in Lewes and Uckfield a fortnight ago.
He has been working 15 hours a day for a Swedish company doing repair work, mainly in Lewes, which is set to continue until Christmas.
Venner said: "I just managed to get a few hours off for this match from managing the teams working for my company in Lewes. I was delighted and surprised to win all three games."
HORSHAM have now completed four of their 14 matches on the fixture list.
Their next two matches are against their main rivals, away to London Progress on November 5 and on November 26 at home to Darlington's formidable array of foreign players.
