Connex has sparked outrage for branding mentally ill people "nutters".
The rail company has been forced to halt a poster campaign, which aimed to "turn the spotlight" on crime, after complaints from charities.
One would think a company which this week lost its franchise to run most train services in Sussex would be keen to win back customer confidence.
Many would say this kind of insensitivity and bullish behaviour proves the company has lost touch and is no longer listening.
Others would say the reaction to the statement is a touch over-the-top.
What is certain is that people who suffer from mental illness struggle for years to recover and get their confidence back.
The last thing they need is one harsh or misguided word to destroy their will to recover.
