Artist Esther Rolinson has been treating residents to a sneak preview of a new seafront lighting scheme.
The dazzling feature called Stream is to be installed along Hastings seafront early next year as part of the town's bid to attract more tourists and improve the look of the resort.
Artist Esther gave the public the chance to comment on her work before it is used as the basis for a full-scale display.
Light will move between columns in a wave-like pattern around the landmark building Marine Court.
The display has been designed to reflect Marine Court's Thirties' architecture and give the illusion the building is standing in water.
Artist's impressions of the proposals are on display at the Burtons St Leonards Society, 36 Marina, until the end of November.
