Rail travellers are facing another weekend of delays and disruption.
All journeys to and from London will take longer due to speed restrictions imposed on the Brighton line for safety reasons in the wake of last month's fatal crash at Hatfield.
There is concern that the weather could cause further problems, with gale-force winds forecast for Sunday night.
Connex are running just one fast train an hour to Victoria from Brighton, leaving at 20 minutes past the hour.
Thameslink trains will be running only two through London trains an hour, instead of the usual four.
Gatwick Express advised people to allow longer for their journeys but expect services into London to take just an extra ten minutes.
Engineering work is planned at Wivelsfield tomorrow with the possibility of some services being replaced by buses between Haywards Heath and Preston Park, and some Brighton-bound trains being diverted via Lewes.
A Thameslink spokesman said: "We shall all be glad when the engineering work is completed, speed restrictions are lifted and we can get back to normal"
Shelley Atlas, chairman of passengers' group Brighton Line Commuters said: "It looks as if travelling by rail this weekend is going to be hell.
"Many people will be fed-up when they find services are cancelled and they are delayed.
"We have had a lousy service these last few weeks. I know this engineering work has to be done following the Hatfield crash, but it could not have come at a worse time with the additional problems of flooding and the worries about petrol."
