A van full of newspapers dramatically burst into flames after an electrical fault.
The driver had left the van parked in Upper Hamilton Road, Brighton, at 6am on Saturday morning while he delivered a bundle of papers.
When he returned to the vehicle the driver noticed smoke coming through the door and realised it was on fire.
Firefighters took nearly an hour to put out the blaze which left two cars parked nearby slightly damaged by the heat.
The road had to be blocked off until the smouldering van could be towed away.
