The future of an historic park is under discussion today.
Hotham Park Heritage Trust wants to restore the Bognor leisure area to its former glory, but the bid relies on a lottery grant of up to £500,000.
So far the trust has received £41,000, including £15,000 from Arun Council and £1,000 from the Tidy Arun Campaign.
Trust members, outlining their vision at a meeting of Arun Council's Hotham Park working party, say the regeneration of the park is vital to the revival of Bognor's economy and tourism trade.
The plans involve restoring the Rainbow's End and boating lake sites, refurbishing the clock tower and modernising the lodge.
More trees would be planted, signs improved and a free adventure playground for children would also be provided.
