I could not believe the sycophantic drivel from Paul Evans about Brighton and Hove Bus and Coach Company (Opinion, November 1).

Either he meant it as a joke or the bus company is paying him a retainer. Any company can pick up awards - it's a consistent end product that counts.

I wonder if Mr Evans would have given a medal to the oblivious driver who went straight past a crowded bus stop in North Street today, paused briefly at the wrong stop, then drove off leaving his pursuing would be passengers in the rain (myself included).

This following a 25-minute wait earlier in the day for a service published as running every few minutes!
