Police are becoming increasingly worried about the safety of a 65-year-old man who has been missing since Friday.
Colin Russell left his home near Lewes at 11am on Friday to walk to an appointment.
He was last seen at 5pm on the same day walking by the A272 near Newick. Witnesses said he looked bewildered.
A police spokesman said: "We are keen to get any information on Mr Russell's whereabouts as we are becoming concerned for his wellbeing."
Mr Russell is 6ft tall, slim and has grey thinning hair. When last seen he was wearing a black and white horizontally striped sweater, green trousers, wellingtons and metal-rimmed glasses.
