Police are investigating two separate stabbings in Crawley over the weekend.
A 36-year-old woman was stabbed in the leg with a kitchen knife at a house in Timberlands, Broadfield, on Saturday at 10.35pm.
Police say the victim was injured after a struggle. A woman was arrested and has been released on police bail.
The victim was treated at Crawley Hospital.
In the second incident a 34-year-old man was stabbed in the chest in Gales Drive, Three Bridges, on Sunday at 1.30am. He was also taken to Crawley Hospital and later discharged.
Darren Diamond, 20, of Merstham, Surrey, has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and was appearing before Crawley magistrates today.
