More than a dozen people queued outside a Brighton record shop today to be first to get their hands on the new Fatboy Slim album.
Bang Records in Bond Street opened at 7.30am to promote the release of Halfway Between The Gutter And The Stars.
Fatboy Slim, aka Hove-based DJ Norman Cook, was not expected to put in an appearance.
Chris Owen, owner of Bang Records, said: "Today has been fantastic. We have had lots of people in the shop and there has been a really good atmosphere.
"We are not expecting Norman to turn up, though - he would be mad to in this weather and I am sure he has more important things to do."
The DJ, whose wife Zoe Ball is due to give birth to a baby boy on Christmas Eve, says Halfway Between The Gutter And The Stars could be his last record.
He thinks fatherhood will affect his creativity.
