Rather than spend a year-and-a-day looking around the shops for a Tracy Island, those with the facilities should do what we did.
We downloaded the Blue Peter instructions from the BBC website - www/ bbc.co.uk/bluepeter/makes/past_thunderbirds.shtml
(the site even has a video showing you how to make the thing) - and went in search of PVA glue (£3.99 from Clarkes Stationers - much cheaper then W.H. Smith).
You can get the vehicles from Kentucky Fried Chicken (with a free meal). Me and my lad are really looking forward to making the island and it has to be better than spending days in the shops.
