At 80 years old I am fit, healthy, active and enjoying life.
This I attribute to my taking seven portions of fruit or vegetables most days.
Because I take little meat my body needs iron and iron tablets have side effects so I do not take them.
I do eat iron-rich spinach and watercress every week but my medical book says the body does not absorb the iron in these very well. What should I do?
