The catamaran Team Philips was built to be a world beater - but instead it was dumped in the middle of the ocean after its crew was rescued.
Yet the experimental boat still commands the loyalty of those who endured all the problems she created.
Among them is Graham Goff from Eastergate, near Chichester, who has been recounting his story of the last journey on the catamaran.
Graham says the boat still has a huge following among marine enthusiasts, who appreciate the imagination that went into its construction.
There were hopes, until recently, that Team Philips could be saved. It can't, but if lessons can be learned from her failures to produce another world beater, brave men like Graham would be happy to sail on her.
