I am not persuaded by Sue John's glib assertion that redesignation of our town of Hove as West Brighton was a "clerical error". It is poor leadership to blame such an outlandish act upon some unnamed clerk.
Round these parts, in the pubs, small shops and the Co-op queue, there is much talk of that takeover threat.
Mention West Brighton to anybody and there is a furious reaction. Ours is a quiet, residential area, not the grim free-for-all around Western Road and West Street.
