A fireworks display which was cancelled after a storm hit Sussex on New Year's Eve may be held at Easter.
Worthing Council, the display organiser, called it off after gale force winds struck the town.
Mayor Ann Lynn was due to light the seafront millennium beacon at 7.30pm, followed by a 20 minute fireworks display.
Last year's event attracted thousands of spectators to the promenade.
A council spokeswoman said it had no definite plans for when to hold the display, but would consider Easter.
