A teenager was left unconscious in the street after a robbery in the early hours of the New Year.
He was hit by a man who stopped him as he walked home through the Westgate area of Chichester city centre.
The 19-year-old victim told police he had been approached by a man in his 20s who wanted the number for a taxi.
The teenager took his mobile phone out to help the man but was hit on the side of the head. He later found that his wallet and £100 had gone.
The robbery happened between 12.30am and 1.20am on January 1.
