The father of 12-year-old Brighton boy Anthony Bangs has been charged with his murder.
Henry Bangs, 48, was charged with murder yesterday following the discovery of his son's body at a house in Enfield Road, Blackpool, last week.
Bangs was due to appear before Blackpool Magistrates Court this morning.
Mother Christine Bangs, who lives in Devonian Court in Brighton spoke this week of the day she heard her son, known as Tony to the family, had died.
The devastating news was broken to her by her eldest son, 13-year-old Peter, when she arrived at Blackpool coach station to take her children home for the New Year.
Tony had spent Christmas in Blackpool.
Christine described her teenage son as a "happy little boy who would do anything for anybody".
Tony was a pupil at Hove Park School who only a week before Christmas had been praised by his teachers for his good behaviour.
Christine moved to Brighton last year with Tony from Blackpool.
