I was surprised to see a letter in the Argus claiming that I was out 'vertical' ploughing on January 1 in the field near Bevendean.
I can assure you the last time I went ploughing was September 2000. What I've actually been doing is applying farm yard manure to the fields over the last few weeks. This organic fertiliser will be then ploughed during the spring to help with soil fertility and structure.
