Regarding Liz Stewart's remarks (January 2), I am one of the many who will back Jenny Langston as a candidate in the next election and I am sure her web site will soon be buzzing.

Women who stand for the Conservative party, Ms Stewart, have always had a strong tradition of expressing their views.

New Labour elected more than 100 women MPs at the last election but Tony Blair has them well under control.

We never hear a constructive idea from any of them unless, of course, they are whinging on about creches or breastfeeding in the House, but I'm sure they can all make a great cup of tea!
