Referring to the article on noisy neighbours (January 5). Many years ago, when I lived in a block of flats, I was accused by the neighbour below of making a great deal of noise walking across my floor.
I admit I needed to get floor covering but at the time I was supposed to be making this noise I was not very well and lying on the sofa reading.
I did not even have music on. The neighbour above me was making the noise I was being accused of.
Sound does travel. I sympathise with Nicole Child who may possibly be getting the raw end of the deal. Some buildings are of paper-thin construction.
Sometimes neighbours have to be lenient with each other.
