As a member of the Labour Party, my loyalty is being stretched by the failure of the Brighton and Hove Council's Labour majority to kick out SITA from our city, following its shocking failure to clean our streets.
Unless something is done pretty quickly, the sight and stink of decomposing black bags on our streets and close to our homes will rightly haunt Labour councillors when they come up for re-election in 2003.
