Testicular cancer used to be one of those diseases few people talked about because it was so embarrassing.
Not any more. Celebrities such as Jamie Theakston are speaking about the once taboo subject in a new documentary.
Testicular cancer rates have risen by 70 per cent in the last 20 years and it is the most common form of cancer for men in their 20s.
James Gardner from Bognor saved his life by seeking medical advice quickly when he felt something was wrong with his testicles.
If he had been shy about going to the doctor, the cancer would have spread to other parts of his body and eventually would have killed him.
Any man who, like James, thinks he has something wrong with his testicles such as an unexplained swelling should get medical help right away.
It shouldn't be in any way embarrassing and even if it is, James would say it's much better being embarrassed than dead.
