Police are hunting for an 81-year-old man with Alzheimer's disease who has been missing since late last night.
John Mustchin disappeared from Grove Crescent in Littlehampton at 9.20pm.
Police are asking residents to check their gardens and sheds as they believe he may have become confused then searched for shelter.
Mr Mustchin is white, 6ft tall, of broad build with white, thinning hair and wears glasses.
He was last seen wearing a heavy coat with a woollen hat in the pocket.
He was wearing navy blue trousers and a multi-coloured sweater with black lace-up shoes and is said to be fit and strong for his age.
He has connections with River Road and police are carrying out searches in the Littlehampton area.
They are asking anyone who believes they might have seen him, to ring them on 0845 6070999.
