Roy Hilliard (January 30) should be aware that the majority of Brighton and Hove Bus and Coach Company's passengers do not have the time, inclination or the necessity to travel from Portslade to Rottingdean for £1. And, incidentally, can you do this on Sunday nights?
What they want is a bus that will turn up as advertised, take them to where they want to go in a reasonable amount of time for a reasonably fare.
I suggest bus travellers are not being provided with any of these on a consistent basis.
As for providing 'super' buses, some may be acceptable but may I suggest that next time it rains, Mr Hilliard travels on the top deck of a bus on the No.5 route, where there are more leaks than on a Welsh vegetable farm.
