Albion fear Saturday's promotion showdown against Cardiff could be washed out.
Drainage and turfing repairs to the Withdean pitch have been completed, but the Seagulls are keeping an anxious eye on the weather.
Chief executive Martin Perry admitted: "We are still without a comprehensive drainage system. If we suffer prolonged heavy rain between now and Saturday it could put the game at risk."
Manager Micky Adams said: "That would be a major blow to us. It means more fixture congestion."
Albion have not played at Withdean since the New Year's Day defeat by Southend.
Home League matches against Lincoln and Barnet last month were postponed so that extra drainage could be installed and almost half of the pitch re-turfed.
Tuesday's postponement at Rochdale means the Seagulls have had a total of four League games called off since Christmas Albion's Third Division rivals Hull have been put into administration following their High Court winding-up order.
The order was issued by Customs and Excise and the Inland Revenue for payment of £500,000 and other debts believed to total £1million.
