A motorist was left badly shocked after a following car rammed her off the road.
Two people in a silver Ford Escort were tailgating her Vauxhall Vectra as she travelled south on the A24 north of Washington.
They forced her into the inside lane, even though her car was overtaking other vehicles at 70mph.
The Escort then rammed the Vectra, forcing it off the carriageway. It spun into a hedgerow outside North Farm, near Windlesham House School.
The driver was unhurt but severely shocked and police said she was lucky to have avoided serious injury.
The silver Escort, which will have a damaged nearside wing, is believed to have a registration number ending in X.
Anyone who has seen this car or who witnessed the crash at noon on Saturday should call PC Tony Day of Steyning police on 0845 6070999 extension 84227.
