NEW BOSS: Tesco's former retail director Michael Wemms is to become chairman at store group House of Fraser.
Mr Wemms is currently deputy chairman at House of Fraser, but took up a non-executive post in 1996. He left Tesco last year after joining in 1992.
BT'S STAKE: BT is to take full ownership of Irish mobile operator Esat Digifone for £830 million. BT bought the 49.5 per cent stake from Norwegian operator Telenor. It already owned the majority shareholding.
NO CHANGE: Brewer and pub operator Jennings Brothers told shareholders at its AGM that it still expects profits for the 17 months to March to be in line with expectations, despite challenging market conditions.
DIRECT ACT: Food producer Albert Fisher has appointed David Meller, finance director of United Biscuits' McVitie's UK, as its new finance director.
