A food store has been targeted in the latest in a string of armed robberies in Worthing.
Police believe the gunman who robbed the Spar shop in Heene Road last night is the same one who has raided seven other shops and garages in the area since Christmas.
This latest attack takes the total of armed raids in the area up to nine in the last two months.
One of the robberies, at the Post Office on South Farm Road earlier this week, is believed to be unconnected with the others.
Last night the man burst into the Spar shop brandishing a shotgun and demanded money from the till. He escaped with cash, believed to have been less than £200.
He is described as a white man between 20 and 30, wearing the hooded light-coloured top that has been described in the seven earlier incidents with a blue jacket over the top.
Anyone with information should contact Detective Sergeant Peter Dixon or Detective Constable Mark Seymour on 0845 6070999.
