I feel I must take issue with John Parry regarding his article on homophobic violence (Argus, February 2).
I would like to know to which species he refers when he writes "the gangs of animals, for that is what they are".
I know of no such animals. If he were to refer to those people as mindless hooligans, uneducated louts or yobs he might be more accurate.
Domestic animals bring companionship and happiness to many people and wild animals are busy fighting for survival, so should not be compared in any way to these prejudiced people to whom Mr Parry refers.
