I would like to reply to J.A. Padwick (Opinion, February 1). I asked similar questions as she did but it took me about five months to get a response to my queries. The answer was very noncommittal on Brighton and Hove Council's part. However, I did receive a copy of its "traveller strategy" brochure.
This has been specially prepared for the local people to read and supposedly explains what we have to do for these special people who have dropped out of society.
I suggest Ms Padwick applies to the council for a copy. She will see just what the future holds for local people regarding travellers. I have read it and I gather nothing will change and we will have to endure the same as before.
I did ask how much it costs each year to clear up the mess behind these people but the council refused to tell me.
