PROMOTION: Computer services group Logica has won a £6.4 million contract with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to develop an internet portal promoting Britain overseas.
FLOATING: Financial news group Reuters is to float Instinet, its wholly-owned electronic brokerage subsidiary, on the US technology-dominated Nasdaq exchange in the middle of this year.
NEW JOB: Sir Ian Robinson, chief executive of Scottish Power, has been made deputy chairman of support services specialist Amey. He will become chairman of the group upon the retirement of incumbent Neil Ashley in May.
SOLD OFF: Insurance group CGNU has sold its New Zealand subsidiary State Insurance to Australian firm NRMA Insurance for £125 million.
