We are foreign students, enjoying our time in Brighton but trying to adjust to the English way of life.
We notice that most of your hot and cold water taps are separated - in houses, pubs, nightclubs, shopping centres, everywhere.
This makes them difficult to use because one becomes too hot quickly and the other stays freezing.
In our countries, all taps have mixers so you can regulate the running water's temperature. Perhaps your readers can tell us why the English love their separate taps.
