MONDAY: Micky Adams salutes Bobby Zamora for putting Albion's promotion bid back on track with his 19th goal of the season at Torquay.
"Bobby has done what he does best," says Adams. "He was terrific in his general play and got on the end of a great cross from Darren Freeman."
Richard Carpenter, a late withdrawal from the Torquay win with ankle trouble, is ruled out of the trip to Rochdale.
TUESDAY: Danny Cullip rues the postponement of the Rochdale visit due to a waterlogged pitch.
The completion of the central defender's three-match ban is carried over to the Cardiff clash on Saturday.
Adams blames Carpenter's problems on Albion's restricted training facilities.
"The hard surfaces are killing him. We keep going in the gym or on the Astroturf and it just flares up."
WEDNESDAY: Albion are rocked by a one-match ban for Nathan Jones for five bookings, which sidelines him from the Cardiff crunch.
Cardiff's 21-goal teenager Robert Earnshaw is also ruled out following cartilage surgery, but boss Alan Cork plays down his absence and the importance of the match.
"I am not worried about us scoring goals so much as stopping them," says the former Albion assistant. "It's not really a big game, because there are so many left."
The Seagulls fear another Withdean postponement. Chief executive Martin Perry warns: "If we get prolonged heavy rain it could put the game at risk."
THURSDAY: Cardiff's former Albion No. 1 Mark Walton faces a hostile reception from fans at Withdean.
Liz Costa, vice-chair of the Seagulls' supporters' club, says: "He threw a wobbly when he played for us and demanded out because he didn't like the crowd.
"He is going to be in for some stick and he has brought it on himself."
Adams reveals Lee Steele has "put himself in the frame" for a starting place after coming through a 2-0 friendly victory for the reserves at Portsmouth.
FRIDAY: Albion face an aerial bombardment from the giants of Cardiff City at Withdean warns manager Micky Adams.
Centre halves Andy Crosby and Matthew Wicks are identified as the key players to deal with the threat as Cardiff come in search of a promotion-boosting win.
