There is a certain amount of hypocrisy from those who describe Lady Wedgwood's solar panel as unsightly (Argus, February 6).
The solar panel is hardly noticeable from the street.
Lewes has just suffered horrendous flooding, no doubt made worse by climate change and bad planning.
Renewable energy is a necessity in reducing our reliance on fossil fuels. It is not an optional extra.
Care must be taken with historic areas and landscapes but unless we change our current lifestyles, Lewes and other areas could suffer more flooding in the future.
