The Common Sense Charity and our sister organisation Charities Information Service (Sussex) regularly receive telephone calls from people with goods to give away to a good home - furniture they are replacing or children's clothes their own children have outgrown, for example.
We have on our database details of a number of furniture recycling schemes and, of course, nearly every charity shop welcomes good- quality clothing.
Often, however, the caller wishes to make their donation to a charity which will pass it on directly to someone in need in Sussex or abroad.
I should be most grateful if any charity in Sussex which takes goods for such purposes could get in touch with me so I can ensure we have their details on file.
You can write to me at 20 Argyle Road, Brighton BN1 4QA, telephone me on 01273 700368 or e-mail me.
