Police are working through information gleaned from about 20 phone calls following an appeal for help catching Worthing's serial shop robber.

They have put up a £10,000 reward to catch the shotgun-toting raider, who has struck nine times in Worthing, and released a CCTV picture.

Detective Inspector Jeff Riley of Worthing CID said the calls would be followed up this week.

The raider, who threatens staff at off-licences, newsagents and garages with a sawn-off shotgun, last struck at Pickwicks Newsagents in Brighton Road on February 9.

Anyone with information should call the Operation Texan team on 01243 843552.
