Prospective Tory candidate Geoffrey Theobald has been showing great concern for problems affecting Rottingdean and Saltdean.
Perhaps he could devote some of this concern to the appalling problem experienced by Co-op delivery drivers in attempting to negotiate entry into the service area behind Longridge Avenue shops.
Because of the selfishness of some private vehicle owners, access to this road proves difficult.
Just recently, one Co-op vehicle had to wait in Nutley Avenue for 45 minutes, resulting in the road being completely blocked before the offending private vehicle's owner was traced.
I sincerely hope that when Brighton and Hove Council takes over the responsibility for curbing illegal parking later this year, it will not consider Saltdean too far out and of too little consequence to bother with.
-Neil Kempshall, Withyham Avenue, Saltdean
