I was delighted to read that Gavin Henderson has been co-opted on to the board of the Brighton West Pier Trust (Argus, February 12).
Gavin's expertise and knowledge of our city's culture and entertainments (especially cinemas and theatrical venues) is probably unsurpassed. He's an expert in all areas of this diverse field.
This co-option is certainly a shrewd move by the West Pier Trust. Gavin has always given 100 per cent effort and support to our City of Brighton and Hove.
I remember 50 years ago when I would spend my pocket money on both the Palace Pier and the West Pier.
I look forward to the opportunity to be able to do so again.
