A Volkswagen enthusiast fears he is the target of a vendetta after three attacks on his prized collection of Beetle cars and camper vans.
Nick Burne-Cronshaw, who runs the Creepy Crawlers VW van club, watched his rare 1965 split-screen camper go up in flames after arsonists set it on fire during the latest incident.
Nick, 34, of Bewbush, Crawley, has been inundated with offers of spare parts to restore his treasured van from as far afield as Australia.
He is offering a £1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the blaze and previous attacks during which two of his Beetles were doused in brake fluid, stripping off the paintwork.
He is worried the vandals will return and damage more of his collection, which includes four vintage air-cooled camper vans and ten VW Beetles.
In the latest incident, arsonists smashed a window of the camper before setting fire to the cab at midnight on Valentine's Day.
He said: "I'm absolutely devastated. I was getting the van ready to compete in a show in three weeks' time and the Beetles were going to go to one later in the year at Maidstone.
"The VW scene is very friendly and everyone shares a love for Beetles and campers. I've had loads of offers of help."
It could cost up to £15,000 to repair the vehicles and Nick may not get much of that back on his insurance.
He works as a teacher at Catherington Day School in Langley Green.
