A former Brighton DJ whose career was ended by a mystery virus is returning to his home city after 25 years.
Graham Lambert, who worked in the former Gallion nightclub and at the old Brighton ice rink as Graham Starr in the Sixties and Seventies, hopes to organise a reunion for his old colleagues and fans.
The virus left Mr Lambert, who is now in his late 40s, paralysed and wheelchair bound.
It was impossible for him to continue his career because he could only move one shoulder.
He had to stay in hospital for nine months and afterwards he went to live in Copthorne, near Crawley, in the Heatherley Cheshire Home.
Mr Lambert said: "I still don't know exactly what the virus was. It could've been no more than a common cold. But because I was working so hard and was so run down I wasn't able to shake it off."
Mr Lambert is looking forward to his move back to Brighton on Tuesday.
He will be bringing his collection of more than 300 records and his computer.
He then hopes to organise a Sixties and Seventies tribute band at the reunion to play some of his favourite tracks from his DJ days, including The Beatles, T-Rex and Status Quo.
Anyone who wants to go to the reunion should email Mr Lambert at lambertgraham@thefreeinternet.co.uk or call him on 01273 386733.
