Living in Horsham could add up to an extra ten years on a man's lifespan.
The town is among the top 15 places to live in the country where people's life expectancy is higher than average, according to a report by the Office of National Statistics.
Male residents have an average life expectancy of 77.3 years, three years more than the national average of 74.4.
Women do not have as good a relationship with the town, however. They would be better off living in Chichester, where the female population has an average life expectancy of 81.7 years.
The best place in the country is in the Chilterns in Buckinghamshire, where the average life expectancy is 88.4 years, while the worst for men is Glasgow, where men are only expected to live to 68.4.
