Bouncers are usually employed to keep dodgy and drunken customers out of clubs and nightspots.
It's a sign of how times are changing that they may now be drafted in to protect some doctors in Worthing.
Our feature today tells of how some doctors have faced terrifying attacks in their own surgeries from crazed or aggrieved patients.
There is no reason why doctors, most of whom genuinely care for their patients, should have to put up with a dangerous minority who could cause them real harm.
They should be able to remove these patients from their list and put them on a separate list of people who could be seen at special lunchtime surgeries elsewhere. If there is any trouble, the doctor can press a panic button and a security guard can intervene.
