Worthing had a weekend haul of 19 points to boost their chance of winning Section A of the Sussex League.
They picked up all 11 from a 112-76 home win over Arun who for two-thirds of the game fancied their chances of winning.
Sam Ives, Steve Hawkes, Eric Pidgeon and Brian Dunne finished 2,1,5,6,3,5 to win 34-14 against Brian Wellsted. Jon Clear, John Williams, George Jennings and John Dicker dropped 1,4,1 starting on the 18th end, but Dicker had an extremely lucky bowl on the 21st to avoid defeat and they won 22-20 against Derek Ford.
Frank Chatfield, Roley Fuller, Tom Campbell and Chris Young finished 1,5,1,4 to win 22-13 over Peter Hannam while Peter Down, Fred Newman, Bob Rose and Jack Creighton won 18-16 over Alan Catterson. Brian Sherrell, Colin Atyeo, George Cook and Ray Potten only won 10 ends but pipped Matt Bonnar 16-13.
Worthing's 102-94 home win over Horsham was only clinched over the closing ends when John Dicker's rink finished 2,3,2,2 to win 28-13 against David Pickering and Ray Potten's won 22-17 over John Gockelen. Chris Young dropped a six on the replayed final end and lost 23-17 to Barrie Baker, Tony Hazell, Rene Bachmann and Mark Overington while Mick Howard went down 21-17 to Ron Barnes and Brian Dunne lost 20-18 to Rod Taylor.
