Derek Bunday, the hard-working secretary of the Horsham club, has warned Sussex officials that extra time may be needed for the All-Sussex Championships at the Horsham Club on April 1.
He said: "Everything depends on the number of players entered. We are running a risk on only four tables but my experience with other events here is that it can be done in eight hours as long as there are no hold-ups.
"However there are no other bookings that evening for the hall so I shall make a proviso that we may run into overtime".
Meanwhile Ritchie Venner and Rose Rainton are expected to defend their county crowns at Horsham, but the chances of Horsham's Sally Weston winning back the Sussex women's title at Horsham have improved as she will be playing on her home tables.
At Wolverhampton last week the North Mundham boys team of Luke Bridge, Michael Simpson and Neil Brown won promotion to the second division of the British Junior League with five victories and one drawn match.
Bridge and Simpson each won eight out of ten visits to the tables.
