We would like to put Mrs Power's mind at rest regarding her daughter's free bus pass to Cardinal Newman School (Argus, February 19).
Brighton and Hove City Council is not considering any changes to the existing travel allowances for children attending Church schools.
However, East Sussex is consulting on this issue at the moment, which may be why Mrs Power thought her daughter was affected.
Mrs Power lives in Brighton and her daughter travels to Cardinal Newman Roman Catholic School in Hove.
As a Roman Catholic she therefore qualifies for a travel allowance because of the distance she has to travel to school.
